Despite their low cost compared to calibration kits from Anritsu, all Kirkby Microwave vector network analyzer (VNA) calibration and verification kits will work properly with all Anritsu VNAs. Once a Kirkby Microwave VNA calibration kit is purchased, and the Anritsu VNA set up to properly use the VNA calibration kit, then assuming the Anritsu VNA is in good working order, accurate S-parameter measurements can be made, at much lower cost than when using an Anritsu calibration kit.
At the time of writing (July 2018) we provide the following files for Anritsu VNAs with all coaxial VNA calibration kits, as we can generate these files using software we have written. All Kirkby Microwave coaxial calibration kits allow short, open, load, thru (SOLT) calibration. (For waveguide, SOLT calibration is not technically possible. Please see our waveguide pages for information about waveguide calibration, which uses only shorts and loads - no opens.)
For Anritsu vector network analyzers, other than the VectorStar, ShockLine and Lightning instruments it may be necessary to enter the coefficients for the calibration standards directly into the VNA. Please contact us by email or telephone for advice.
